I recently received the list of local church disability ministry chairpersons for our conference. I was sad to see how short the list is! Hands On Missions Day

The NAC is having a special "Hands On Missions Day" in May. The Disability Ministry Team will be building two to four ramps in the B'ham area and North Alabama area. If you are willing to help build a ramp contact me a.s.a.p.

Disability Awareness Sunday 2008

Has your church had a Disability Awareness Sunday between June 2007 and June 2008? If not, you only have a few months left to meet this Discipline Requirement. For information, see your District Disability Ministry Director or contact me, Debbie Wade.

Accessibility Audit

Any United Methodist Church in the North Alabama Conference should go to the conference website and download (under "forms") the accessibility audit for the new conference year (June 2007 - June 2008). A copy of this audit should be handed in at the local church's Charge Conference. A copy should also be mailed to the District's Director of Disability Ministries. A list of these directors will be included in your Annual Conference bag. If you are in the NorthEast District, you will mail yours to me.
